Terms of sale
What applies to purchases made on Starshine: Flames and page customisation.

This document is incomplete: the items flagged below are still to be provided. It is not indexed by search engines while that is the case.
First of all
À compléterThis document describes a sale that is not live yet: Stripe is not integrated to date. It must be reviewed by a lawyer BEFORE the first transaction, not after.
What is sold
Starshine sells two things and two only: Flames, units used to support an artist on the platform, and a page customisation subscription for artists.
Starshine does not sell artists’ products and takes no cut of their sales. Artist shops link out to their own sites: those purchases happen outside Starshine, on the seller’s terms, and bind only the seller.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in euros. The publisher is under the French small-business VAT exemption: no VAT is charged, under article 293 B of the French general tax code.
Payment is made online at the time of the order, by card, through Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and are never stored by Starshine.
À compléterTo be completed once Stripe is integrated: payment methods actually enabled, and the currency offered to buyers outside the euro area.
À compléterTo watch, without urgency: the exemption covers sales in France, but a EU-wide threshold of €10,000 a year, across all digital-service sales to consumers in other EU countries, changes the regime once crossed. Above it, VAT becomes due in the buyer’s country, which means registering for the OSS one-stop shop and keeping two consistent pieces of evidence of their location. A counter to put in place when selling starts, not an immediate action.
Delivery
Flames are credited to the account immediately after payment is confirmed. Page customisation is enabled just as quickly.
Right of withdrawal
You normally have fourteen days to withdraw from a distance purchase.
That right does not apply to digital content supplied immediately, where you have expressly requested immediate supply and acknowledged losing your right of withdrawal. This is the case for Flames, credited instantly.
À compléterTo be built into the checkout: the checkbox collecting that express request and waiver. Without it, explicitly collected and stored, the exception does not apply and the purchase stays refundable for fourteen days.
The customisation subscription follows the ordinary regime: it can be cancelled at any time, taking effect at the end of the current period.
Refunds
Flames already given to an artist are neither taken back nor refunded: the gesture has done its work.
For an incorrect charge, a double charge, or prolonged unavailability of a paid service, contact us: we will look into it and put it right.
Complaints and mediation
À compléterTo do before the first sale: join a consumer mediation scheme and state the mediator’s name and address here. Membership is mandatory for any business selling to consumers in France, and the absence of this statement is penalised independently of any dispute.
The European online dispute resolution platform is also available to EU consumers.
