Terms of use

The rules of the service: what you may do with it, what we commit to, and what can end an account.

Last updated: July 26, 2026

This document is incomplete: the items flagged below are still to be provided. It is not indexed by search engines while that is the case.

Purpose

Starshine connects artists with their audience. Artists get a public page; members can follow them, support them and interact with them.

Creating an account means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

Signing up and minimum age

Signing up requires a verifiable email address, a display name and a date of birth. The information you provide must be accurate.

À compléterTo be confirmed: the minimum age enforced. The code checks a `MIN_AGE` constant: the chosen value must appear explicitly here, along with the rules applying to minors.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything done from your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

An account is personal. An artist page, however, can be administered by several members, each with their own account.

Page addresses and names

Artist page addresses are granted in order of request. Some words are reserved for the service and cannot be chosen.

We may reassign an address that is plainly being impersonated (a known artist’s name claimed by someone else, or an address imitating an official function of the service), after review and, where possible, notice to the holder.

Content you publish

You keep all rights in what you publish. You grant us only the right to host, display and make that content shareable within the service, for as long as it is published.

You warrant that you hold the necessary rights in what you publish, including in photographs showing other people.

Prohibited conduct

  • Publishing unlawful, hateful or harassing content, or content invading someone’s privacy
  • Impersonating an artist, a band or a person you are not
  • Circumventing technical limits, automating the service or scraping it at scale
  • Using the service for unsolicited marketing

Moderation and suspension

We may remove content or suspend an account that breaches these rules. Except for serious breaches or where the law requires otherwise, the decision is explained and can be challenged at the contact address.

Availability

The service is provided as is. We work to keep it available without guaranteeing uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance is announced where it can be.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time. Deletion erases your data as described in the privacy policy.

À compléterTo be built before launch: the account deletion flow. It does not exist in the application yet, while this paragraph announces it and the GDPR requires it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. The French version prevails in case of any discrepancy with this translation. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought before any legal action.
